Terms and Conditions

These terms govern scrapwhiz.com, the Scrapwhiz Shop, Resume Studio, Job Publisher, enquiries, sourcing requests, job links and services supplied under the Scrapwhiz name. By using the website, creating an account, submitting a request or placing an order, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter a contract and at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. You are responsible for access to your email account, verification codes, device and account activity. Notify Scrapwhiz at once if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Website and professional services

Website information, estimates and examples do not create a professional engagement. A service engagement starts only through an accepted proposal, statement of work, order form or other written confirmation. That document controls if it conflicts with these website terms.

4. Shop products and availability

Products may be stocked, made to order, printed on demand, pre-ordered, sourced from India or imported. Images are illustrative. Screens, print processes and manufacturing batches may produce minor colour, placement or measurement differences. Material differences, defects and incorrect products remain subject to consumer rights and the Shipping & Returns policy.

5. Orders and contract formation

An order request is subject to stock, fraud checks, supplier confirmation, address serviceability and successful payment verification. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt, not unconditional acceptance. Scrapwhiz accepts the order when payment is verified and the order status becomes “Order received”. Scrapwhiz may cancel and refund an order it cannot lawfully or reasonably fulfil.

6. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in Indian rupees unless stated otherwise. The checkout shows the payable amount before payment. Online payments are processed by Razorpay. Cash on delivery is not offered. You must use a payment method you are authorised to use. Scrapwhiz never asks for a CVV, UPI PIN, banking password or OTP through support.

7. Shipping, tracking and delivery

Standard India delivery is normally 7–10 working days after payment unless the product page states another estimate. Delays may arise from production, quality checks, courier capacity, weather, remote-area serviceability, public holidays, customs or events outside reasonable control. After dispatch, the order page may show the courier, AWB and an official tracking link. Risk and title pass as required by applicable consumer law and the confirmed fulfilment terms.

8. Returns, replacement, cancellation and refunds

The Shipping & Returns policy forms part of these terms. Damage, defect, an incorrect item or a product materially different from the confirmed order should be reported within 21 calendar days after delivery with the order ID and supporting photographs. Do not return a parcel without written approval and a return reference. Customised goods, made-to-order goods, hygiene-sensitive goods and incorrect size choices may be non-returnable unless defective or applicable law gives a right. Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method; bank or gateway settlement time is outside Scrapwhiz’s control.

9. Custom artwork and user content

You retain rights in original content you submit. You grant Scrapwhiz and its production partners a limited licence to review, resize, reproduce and manufacture that content only to quote, fulfil, support or evidence your request. You confirm that you own the rights or have permission. Scrapwhiz may reject content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, abusive or unsafe.

10. Global Finds and imports

A sourcing request is not a purchase. Before payment, Scrapwhiz may check seller credibility, landed price, voltage, wireless bands, BIS or WPC requirements, customs, warranty, return feasibility and estimated delivery. Import duties, certification limits and warranty restrictions will be disclosed when known. A quote can expire if supplier price, exchange rate, freight or law changes.

11. Job board and third parties

Job links lead to official employers or authorised applicant-tracking systems. Employers control availability, eligibility, selection and hiring. External services, social networks, payment gateways and courier sites apply their own terms. Scrapwhiz is not responsible for content or conduct outside its control.

12. Acceptable use

You must not probe or bypass access controls without written authorisation, submit malware or secrets, scrape at a harmful rate, impersonate another person, manipulate payment or refund flows, abuse support, interfere with availability, infringe rights or use the service unlawfully. Good-faith security reports should follow security.txt.

13. Intellectual property

Scrapwhiz branding, original site content, layouts, software and product designs remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the service for its intended purpose.

14. Disclaimer

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. Scrapwhiz does not promise uninterrupted access, a particular commercial result, employment, search ranking, revenue, security certification or outcome unless a signed engagement says so. Nothing excludes warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Liability

To the extent law permits, Scrapwhiz is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profit or lost opportunity arising from the website or an external service. For a paid order or engagement, aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected order or service during the six months before the event. This limit does not apply where liability cannot be limited, including fraud, wilful misconduct or mandatory consumer rights.

16. Indemnity

You will reimburse Scrapwhiz for third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by unlawful content you submit, infringement of rights, fraudulent activity or a material breach of these terms, except to the extent the claim results from Scrapwhiz’s own fault.

17. Suspension and termination

Scrapwhiz may restrict or close access to protect customers, investigate abuse, comply with law or address a material breach. Clauses concerning payment, intellectual property, records, liability and disputes survive termination.

18. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disaster, war, epidemic, government action, network or power failure, supplier disruption, customs delay, labour action or courier interruption. Payment-refund and mandatory consumer duties remain unaffected.

19. Electronic communications

You agree that order, support, policy and legal communications may be delivered by email, account notice or another channel you chose. Keep your contact information accurate.

20. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first try to resolve a dispute through the Scrapwhiz Grievance Desk for 30 days. Subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. You may also use any consumer or regulatory forum available under applicable law.

21. Changes and severability

Updated terms apply from the published effective date. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If a clause is unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue.

22. Grievance contact

Email hello@scrapwhiz.com with the order or enquiry reference and the resolution sought. Use “Grievance” in the subject.

23. Resume Builder

Resume Studio provides editing, AI-assisted and browser-only import, export, keyword comparison, job ranking, letter drafting, template and portfolio tools. AI assistance is optional and can be unavailable because of provider, account, rate-limit or technical conditions. You remain responsible for reviewing accuracy, removing confidential information, confirming dates and claims, and deciding what to submit or publish. Scrapwhiz does not guarantee applicant-tracking-system compatibility, extraction accuracy, interviews, employment, a job-match outcome or a recruiter response. Do not add credentials, achievements or experience you cannot support.

24. Free access, Premium lifetime and custom domains

Free features remain subject to reasonable technical, security and anti-abuse limits. Premium lifetime is a one-time, non-transferable licence for the purchasing account to use the listed Premium Resume Builder features during the commercial lifetime of that product; it is not a recurring subscription and does not mean the purchaser's lifetime. Scrapwhiz may improve, replace or retire a feature for security, law, vendor availability or product viability. If the product is discontinued, Scrapwhiz will provide reasonable notice and an export route where practicable.

The custom-domain fee covers one connection workflow for one portfolio domain. Domain purchase, registry renewal, DNS-provider fees, email hosting and future third-party charges are not included. The customer must own or control the domain and maintain correct DNS records.

25. Digital payments, activation and refunds

Paid Resume Builder access starts after Razorpay payment verification and entitlement activation. The checkout displays the currency and final amount before payment. Duplicate charges, failed activation and refunds required by applicable consumer law will be corrected. Other digital-service refund requests are assessed from the activation state, usage, technical fault and applicable law. A refund may revoke the related entitlement and unpublish a connected custom-domain configuration.

26. Imported content, exports and public portfolios

You confirm you are at least 18 and may process and reproduce any résumé, job description or content you import. Resume Studio creation, import, editing and export require sign-in. For AI parsing, you must make the separate processing choice shown before upload. The selected file is sent through Scrapwhiz’s private server to the configured AI processor for field extraction, with response storage disabled. Scrapwhiz does not retain the original AI-uploaded file. The browser-only parser remains available without third-party AI processing. Editable records are saved to your private account only after you choose to build the résumé. You grant Scrapwhiz a limited licence to process content only to provide the features you request.

AI output may omit, misread or associate information incorrectly, especially with scans, graphics, tables or multi-column layouts. The service is instructed not to invent facts, but you must review every field before using it. A portfolio becomes public only after you publish it. Public portfolio content may be indexed, copied or cached by search engines and third parties; unpublishing stops future Scrapwhiz access but cannot recall external copies.

27. Job matches, LinkedIn and third parties

Match percentages are relevance indicators based on available resume and job text, not suitability, eligibility or hiring probability. Job availability and employer information may change. “Find hiring team” links open LinkedIn searches; Scrapwhiz does not verify that a person is the decision-maker, currently active or willing to accept contact. Use professional, lawful outreach and comply with each external service's terms.

28. Job Publisher and listing review

You may submit a job only when authorised to represent the named organisation and when the role is current, accurate and linked to an official company career site or supported applicant-tracking system. You must provide truthful poster details and stakeholder evidence that you have the right to share. Do not submit confidential information, scraped vacancies, recruitment scams, discriminatory requirements, misleading compensation, duplicate roles or jobs that are no longer open.

Business-domain accounts follow the standard verification route. Personal-email accounts cannot submit a job until a Scrapwhiz administrator manually approves the poster profile. Every job remains private until separately reviewed and approved. Approval emails open a sign-in-protected review queue and do not approve or publish anything by themselves. Scrapwhiz may request more evidence, reject, suspend, close or remove a poster or listing to protect candidates, comply with law or enforce these terms.

Public labels describe the route completed: “Business domain verified” or “Manually reviewed by Scrapwhiz”. They do not guarantee the employer, role, working conditions, hiring outcome or continued availability. Approved listings normally expire after 90 days unless renewed. Approved jobs may appear on the public Jobs board and in Resume Studio by default.
